Frequently Asked Questions

What types of assets can First Block tokenize?

We can tokenize ANY real-world asset. This includes private equity, fund shares, real estate, commodities, art, collectibles, intellectual property, revenue shares, and more. If it has value and can be legally owned, we can create a compliant digital representation of it.

When will the trading platform launch?

Early access is targeted for Q2 2026. Secondary trading is provided through a registered ATS partner for approved institutions. Availability and timing may vary.

What is the GENIUS Act and why does it matter?

The GENIUS Act, signed in July 2025, creates the first federal regulatory framework for payment stablecoins in the United States. It requires full reserve backing, regular audits, and establishes a single nationwide license. Financial institutions that don't comply will lose deposits to digital-native competitors.

How long does tokenization take?

Most tokenization projects complete within 8-12 weeks from initial consultation to live deployment. This includes asset analysis, smart contract development, compliance setup, and testing.

Is tokenization legally compliant?

Yes—when structured under existing securities pathways such as Reg D, Reg S, and Reg A+, with transfer restrictions, investor eligibility checks, and KYC and AML. Secondary trading is provided through a registered ATS partner where permitted.

What are the costs involved?

Costs depend on asset type, complexity, and volume. Common components include advisory and scoping, smart-contract build and review, KYC and AML and accreditation, custody and transfer-agent fees, ATS and settlement fees, and ongoing monitoring and support. We provide transparent one-time and recurring pricing after a short scoping call.

How is custody handled for tokenized assets?

We work with qualified custodians and transfer agents. Client assets are segregated, held in policy-controlled wallets(multi sig and HSM support), with key-management and recovery procedures, independent reviews, and insurance options via partners.

Can international investors participate?

Yes, where permitted. Cross border access depends on the offering structure and local rules (e.g., Reg S for non-US investors; Reg D/Reg A+ for US persons). Participation requires full KYC and AML and secondary trading is through a registered ATS partner where approved.
